For those who gave so generously to the Diocesan Lebanon appeal last year, here is an update from Open Doors that was shared at Diocesan Synod on 24 June.
The Lebanon Appeal has brought hope in Beirut and Syria. Following the huge explosion in Beirut in August 2020 the diocese gave an astonishing £38,000 to relieve the suffering. £20,000 has gone to support the ongoing work of the Centre of Hope in Beirut with the balance going to support Centres of Hope inside Syria. Pastor Nihad shares how he and his church have blessed others with this generous gift.
