Walkers Step Out

Saturday 18 September 2021

Members of our parish walking group ‘Sole Mates’ have just completed their fourth monthly outing since resuming activity following the lockdowns and restrictions of the past year or so.

Staying fairly local, we again took to a section of the Lagan Towpath. Starting at Drum Bridge, opposite the picturesque setting of Drumbeg Parish Church, we made our way downstream towards the Barnett Demesne and Malone House.

Our next walk is scheduled for Saturday 16 October 2021 (route still to be confirmed). All are welcome to join us – check out https://stmoluasonline.com/walking-group/ for more information and updates.

The threat of rain did not deter members of our ‘Sole Mates’ walking group as they set out along the Lagan Towpath from near Shaw’s Bridge, Belfast.

In the event, umbrellas only had to be raised in anger on a few short occasions and we were rewarded enroute by the impressive sight of the newly completed weir, lock and iconic footbridge at Stranmillis.
