Great news! – our Sole Mates walking group starts back this month with the announcement of their program of walks for the 2026 season.
Sole Mates gather together once a month during the spring, summer and autumn for a variety of walks that suit most ages and abilities. We normally meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month in the church carpark at 10.00am unless otherwise arranged.
Walks planned for the current 2026 season include:
21 March – Castle Grounds and Museum Bangor
18 April – Killynether Newtownards
16 May – Flood Gates Newtownards
20 June – Greenway at Connswater
18 July – Shore Car Park at Jordanstown
15 August – Antrim Castle Grounds
19 September – Upper Hightown Road Car Park Cave Hill
17 October – Kinnegar Road Car Park Holywood
Our walks are open to all – to church members, friends and relatives and anyone else who would like to join us. However, please note:
– Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
– All walkers take part at their own risk.
– All walkers must ensure that they are fit and healthy enough to undertake the walk they are attending.
– All walkers are advised to exercise caution and to wear suitable walking shoes/boots and outdoor clothing.
– On the walk:
- A register will be taken at the start of the walk of all participants.
- Walkers must follow all safety advice given by the walk leader.
