Walking Group

Our next Sole Mates outing of the 2026 season is to Antrim Castle Gardens on the banks of the Six Mile Water River.

We will meet in St Molua’s Church carpark at 10.00am this Saturday 15 August and travel by shared cars to Antrim for our walk around the beautiful gardens and parkland surrounding the ruins of the old Antrim Castle building .

About

The stunning features include the magnificent 17th Century Anglo Dutch style canals, ponds and avenues, a 12th Century motte; Victorian Pleasure Garden, Large Parterre Gardens and the Platinum Jubilee Clockwork Garden. Within the heart of Antrim Castle Gardens is a unique visitor experience – the refurbished Clotworthy House. Visit the Garden Heritage Exhibition where you can read about the fascinating history of the Gardens and the story of the Massereene family.”
