Music has always been particularly important in our worship at St Molua’s and the parish has a history of good music, well-sung. Indeed, the parish choir was in existence even before the church had been built and an organ installed.
Our church building has excellent acoustics and is a delight to sing in. While the choir are not averse to singing unaccompanied as the occasion demands, we are fortunate in having an impressive, well maintained, two manual Smethurst organ. Also, an electronic piano for those more ‘delicate’ pieces.
Our present robed choir is under the leadership of our Director of Music, Audrey Gillian. They lead worship at morning services and at other regular services throughout the Church year, as well as putting on the occasional recital. The choir rehearses weekly during term time on Wednesdays from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
Please contact Audrey through the Parish Office for more information.
