Situated on the main Upper Newtownards Road in east Belfast (postcode BT4 3LR), St Molua’s Church and Parish Hall are accessible and easy to find. Travelling from Belfast, we are approximately 1/4 mile from the Stormont Hotel (on the right) and the main entrance to Parliament Buildings (on the left). Travelling from Dundonald we are approximately 1/4 mile from the traffic lights and Maxol petrol station at Ardcarn/Rosepark.

Public Transport
The G1 Glider, 3f Metro Bus and 5f, 9b, 10 and 511b Ulsterbus services pass our site on a regular basis. Bus stops are located a short distance to the city side of the entrance to the church and hall grounds. See www.translink.co.uk/ for timetable information.
Car Parking
We have limited on-site parking with priority given to those with restricted mobility. Additional parking may be available in the public car park on the opposite side of the main road. However, please note that the park is only open during certain hours and that the gates normally close at dusk (or sometimes earlier – check signage).
On street parking is available in the nearby Rosepark and Summerhill areas. Please park considerately.
Parking on the Upper Newtownards Road itself is not recommended as bus lanes operate during most of the week. Rosemount Avenue, which runs down the side of the church grounds, is a private road on which parking is not permitted.
Our Buildings
While the drive into the car park slopes down slightly, both our buildings can be accessed on level ground – there are slight lips to the thresholds but these should not cause a problem – a helping hand is always available. Both buildings have wide entrance doors and disabled toilets are located near their entrances. While the side chapel can be accessed from the nave, the door is only standard width. However, there is a wheelchair ramp to the double external doors to the chapel.
Inside the church, shorter pews in the centre of the nave allow space for wheelchairs, rollators etc. Alternatively, you are welcome to use space at the back of the nave – additional chairs can be provided for accompanying carers, friends and relatives if required.
The church is fitted with a sound loop system. Please set your hearing aid to the ‘T’ setting to avail of this.
Service sheets and hymn books are available in larger text.
At St Molua’s, we warmly invite communicant members of all Christian churches to join us at the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion. However, there are three steps up from the nave into the chancel (hand rail provided). If through age or disability you feel unable to make your way up to the communion rail, please let one of the Churchwardens, or another member of the congregation, know. The Celebrant will be pleased to bring the sacrament to you in your seat.
All rooms in the Parish Hall are on the one level. The majority of events and activities are held in the main (Hamilton) hall with easy access for all users. Access to the smaller meeting rooms at the side of the building may not be suitable for wheelchair users but, as always, helping hands are available.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Parish Office if you have any queries, or special requirements, that we may be able to help you with.
