Craft and Chat

Did you know that crafting in its many various forms can be astonishingly good for you? It has been found to lower blood pressure, reduce depression, keep your mind alert and slow the onset of dementia. It can distract from chronic pain (such as arthritis), boost wellbeing, and reduce loneliness.

What better reason to join the ‘Craft and Chat’ group at St Molua’s? We normally meet at 2.30pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Parish Hall.

Bring along whatever project you are working on – knitting / crochet / felting / other crafts – share hints and tips – learn new skills – swap patterns have a cuppa & chat – have fun!

Some of us have taken the opportunity to finish off personal projects that had been on the go for some time! Others set about producing items to help worthy causes.

Needless to say, there is plenty of room for more crafters and chatterers. If you are free on the 1st and/or 3rd Wednesday of each month from 2.30-4.00pm do think about joining us.

You will be very welcome.

Contact the Parish Office if you have any queries or require more information.

Last year, the ‘Craft and Chat’ ladies were delighted to welcome Heather Lowry from Reaching Hand & Lighthouse School to one of their meetings. Heather was sharing about her work in India, and showing some photos of the children she works with, and will be taking the latest batch of teddies off to their new home in Bangalore.
