Celebrating Harvest at St Molua’s
Join us on Sunday 27 September at 10.30am as we celebrate Harvest – here on stmoluasonline, on Facebook, in church (limited seating) or via our telephone audio line.
For your evening worship on our Harvest Sunday, why not join Bishop David and representatives throughout our diocese to celebrate HARVEST – ‘A Harvest of the Land’, ‘A Harvest of the Sea’, and ‘A Harvest of the City’.
Celebrating a Harvest of the Land
The first in our Harvest series of three films with Bishop David, where we give thanks to God for the fruits of the Land, the Sea and the City.
In this film we celebrate a Harvest of the Land in the farmlands of Dromore Diocese. With thanks to Revd Sam Johnston for the harvest hymns (filmed in Saul), Revd Rodney Magennis, Bobbie Fee and Fegan’s Farm and Shop (Aghaderg Parish) and Craig Orr (Parish of Drumgath & Drumgooland).
“Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever!”
Celebrating a Harvest of the Sea
Our diocese is home to four major harbours – Warrenpoint, Kilkeel, Ardglass and Portavogie – and an important fishing industry. With this film we celebrate all that the sea gives us and the crews that often risk their lives to bring in the catch.
Filmed at Kilkeel Harbour and in Ardglass with thanks to soloist Jenny Hart, Kilkeel Worship Team and David Charleton, Gareth Averrel and Lucy Cullen (LAMP).
This is the second in our Harvest series of three films with Bishop David, where we give thanks to God for the fruits of the Land, the Sea and the City.
A Harvest of the City
Although it has a different flavour, harvest thanksgiving is an important occasion for city dwellers. It’s a time to remind ourselves of the provenance of our food and its abundance and to share with others who are in need.
This is the final of three Harvest films with Bishop David and was filmed in Newry, Belfast and Craigavon. Thanks go to John Menagh, Willowfield Worship Team and to Hazel Upritchard (HOPE Community Church Craigavon).
