It will not be long until we are getting the Christmas decorations out of the attic. We wonder if you, like many of us, love to unpack a treasured Nativity scene that holds special memories Perhaps it is one your children made, or a Crib scene that has been passed down through the generations.
This year in church we look forward to seeing the knitted creations on display from the ‘Knit & Natter, Crochet & Chatter’ folks here at St Molua’s. (There is also a pattern available to collect in church if you would like to ‘get creative’ yourself!)
We had a great response to our ‘Butterflies of Hope’ competition, so we thought it would be a lovely idea to have a Nativity competition for all ages. Why not make, create, draw – or you can simply share a photo of a treasured Nativity scene you already have. Share the photos to our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StMoluasChurch/), or email to: stormont@down.anglican.org or simply bring along to church on Sundays.
If you don’t mind parting with your creation, we could display them on the window sills in church. Wouldn’t it be lovely to see a selection of joyful scenes of what Christmas is all about?
