Bishop David has issued the following statement asking for continued prayer for Ukraine:
“We have all been shocked and saddened by the images coming from Ukraine these past days. We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine, especially those being displaced from their homes, those who have been injured or who have lost loved ones as a result of the invasion of Russian soldiers and bombing by Russian missiles. In all our churches let’s continue to pray for an end to this invasion and in these days for peace in our world.
“I also commend a local initiative that others might want to support. A charity connected to The Gathering is collecting essential items which will be transported to Ukrainian refugees via Romania.”
