First of all, a date for your diary:
We are really pleased that Repair Café Belfast have requested a return visit to St Molua’s and will be with us again on the morning of Saturday 15 June. Last year’s event was very successful and we anticipate a high level of interest second time around.
Please spread the news and hunt out any well loved items that might benefit from repair. Think electrical items, bicycles, machine and hand repairs… Details of exactly what will be on offer and how to book a slot will be made available closer to the date on our website and facebook page.
Secondly, many thanks to those who have been bringing their used postage stamps to church and depositing them in the little wooden box in the porch. These are passed on to CMS Ireland who are able to sell them to benefit funds for their mission projects. Just remember to trim, rather than tear, around the stamp, leaving a margin of approximately 1cm.
And lastly, thanks also for the great response to our request for your empty crisp packets and bread wrappers. The steady stream of donations has meant quite a bit of sorting for the very few volunteers we have. Since we started the initiative many more local supermarkets now act as drop off points for these plastics – please do use these facilities where they exist. If we are to continue to act as a collection point we need volunteers! Can you help?
